10th nnual Australian Charities Report
The Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission (ACNC) released it’s 10th Australian Charities Report - their annual analysis of information received from charities when lodging their Annual Information Statements. The report contains a range of useful insights and comparisons across the charity sector over the last decade.
Key insights include:
- increases in donations
- increases in volunteers, with 50% of charities run entirely by volunteers
- Clean Up Australia has over 900,000 volunteers more than 10 times the level of NSW Surf Life Saving, who has the second highest number of volunteers
- extra small charities, with $50,000 or less in revenue make up one third of all charities (around 20,000 charities)
