Spring has sprung.....

Happy Spring!

It's less than two weeks to the Social Enterprise World Forum (SEWF), with many of the social enterprise networks hosting metropolitan and regional SEWF community hub events. As Greatest Good is a member of all of the state networks, you can find these events on our events page.

Drawing on feedback from various for-purpose organisations, we've been developing and testing a new membership option. We are thrilled to be launching that today! If you are a small social enterprise with less than $500,000 in revenue last financial year, and at least 8 products, then our "Shop Only" membership might be for you.

In line with our vision to grow the for-purpose sector, we've been working behind the scenes in a number of social sector co-design and collaboration processes, including:

  • Joining 40 Victorian social enterprises and industry participants since November 2022 on the co-design of SEEDkit - providing social enterprises with a data and evaluation platform. SEEDkit is a partnership between the Centre for Social Impact Swinburne and Melbourne Social Equity Institute. The platform is due for release soon, so stay tuned....

  • Participating in the two stakeholder feedback events organised by Social Enterprise Australia on behalf of the Department of Social Services. Feedback was sought on capacity–building grants, and online education and mentoring to be delivered via the $11.6 million Social Enterprise Development Initiative announced in the federal budget

  • Supporting Ember Connect (an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-led collective that elevates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women to greater possibilities) with their mentoring program and presenting a series of evidence-based personal development workshops

  • Joining the Melbourne-based Inner Development Goals hub to help build the capacity of individuals to create real progress on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

We've also finalised our two remaining workshops for 2023 to help our for-purpose organisation members. You can find out more and register for these free events below:

A quick reminder that you are reading the consumer newsletter. If you are a for-purpose organsiation or service provider to the for-purpose sector, Let us know if you'd like to receive the organisation newsletter. As always, we always welcome your feedback, so please reach out to us if you'd like to share your thoughts on how we can improve.
