Children's lives are impacted by experiences in their early childhood. The attachment between a child and their primary carer in the first 2000 days of life influences that child’s health, development and resilience. If there is economic, psychological and/or physical distress, the ability to develop this bond is at risk. They alleviate these pressures and create the opportunity for every child to feel secure, safe and to thrive.
CIRCULAR ECONOMY
The world has finite resources. The way we buy, use and dispose of goods has a negative impact on our planet. They are investing their energy into changing the way we consume goods. As part of the circular economy, they are reducing waste and pollution by extending the life cycle of kids’ essential goods through repair and reuse.
Our Village gratefully receives goods donations for babies and children.
Do you have new or pre-loved children’s items to donate? Our Village, through St Kilda Mums, can help get them to a family or child in need. They ask for all donations to be clean, in excellent condition, and within Australian safety standards.
Their goal is that anyone who receives an item or package from Our Village feels like they have received a gift prepared with care and thoughtfulness.
