Free Mentorship for Indigenous Entrepreneurs

About the Mentorship Program

The Enterprise Learning mentorship program supports emerging entrepreneurs who are just getting started with an idea or establishing a business.

The ELP mentorship program naturally leads into their incubation program but it is less intensive. It is well-suited to entrepreneurs who have limited time to dedicate to their business at this point in time.

The ELP mentorship program includes:

At least 6 months (50+ hours) of dedicated support from their team and network of expert entrepreneurs

Virtual support (phone, email, Zoom) as well as on-Country visits where relevant

Meaningful collaboration – together they will finalise a strategy to best achieve your business goals

Practical business skills and advice, tailored to each individual entrepreneur and enterprise

Access to ELP’s networks, including national markets, industry advisors and future funders

The ELP mentorship program often helps entrepreneurs to:

Hone a business idea and get it off the ground

Develop and implement a business plan or strategy

Increase skills in a particular area of business

Overcome a specific challenge

Stay accountable by having a sounding board and regular check-ins to stay on track

Expand networks and connections to explore new opportunities

Applications for this program are permanently open and welcome at any time.

You can apply by emailing hello@elp.org.au or by filling in the form below.
This form is also available to download HERE.

Who is eligible to apply?

The ELP mentorship program is open to any Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander-led enterprise across Northern Australia. This includes the whole Northern Territory, northern WA and northern QLD. If you are based outside of these areas, please email to discuss whether you can get assistance.

Do you work with businesses of all types?

ELP work with businesses from all industries. They have an extensive network of experts and entrepreneurs across industries so that they can provide the best support and advice for your business.

How much does it cost?

Both are mentorship and incubation programs are free for enterprises.

ELP is funded by partners who enable us to give you the highest quality support to develop your enterprise and achieve your dreams for the business.

Can I apply if I am part of an Aboriginal Corporation?

Yes, ELP accept applications from Aboriginal Corporations, and also from enterprise concepts that are within Aboriginal Corporations. What is most important is that you have the time to focus on building your business.

How long does the program go for?

The ELP mentorship program includes at least 6 months of support.

Together, ELP will help you assess whether your enterprise needs further mentorship support after this initial 6-month period and whether the incubation program might be a suitable next step.

Can I apply if I don’t have a registered business?

Absolutely. The ELP mentorship program is the perfect place to start to get an idea off the ground.
