Modern Slavery Risk Management - A Playbook for SMEs to identify, manage and mitigate modern slavery risks

To celebrate United Nations SME Day, the UN Global COmpact Network has launched their latest publication from the UN Global Compact Network Australia titled Modern Slavery Risk Management – A Playbook for SMEs to identify, manage and mitigate modern slavery risks.

This publication follows the introduction of an ‘SME Stream’ within our Modern Slavery Community of Practice (MSCoP). Building on our engagement with SME participants, we’re developing the tools that SMEs need to assess and address modern slavery risks within their operations and supply chains, as well as engage with larger customers and clients.

Readers of this publication will obtain an understanding of what modern slavery is and how it could manifest within business, as well as five practical steps that SMEs can take to assess and address their risk of causing, contributing or being directly linked to modern slavery, in a manner that’s aligned with the UNGPs.
