About this Tool
Amplify Online is an innovative, self-service tool designed to make social impact measurement simple. Strictly evidence-based, it provides an accessible pathway for purpose-driven organisations to understand the impact they're making.
Designed for organisations of all shapes and sizes, Amplify Social Impact Online (Amplify Online) consists of two impact measurement tools - Indicator Engine that is available now and Yardstick, which will be available in the next phase.
Indicator Engine
Increasingly, social impact organisations are being asked to show evidence and demonstrate accountability for their purpose-driven work. Quantitative measurement (surveys) is one way of doing this, however figuring out what (outcomes) and how (indicators) to measure remains an arduous and resource-intensive task.
As a result, quality impact measurement is inaccessible for a huge proportion of the social sector which may be financially restricted.
Indicator Engine remedies this, having undergone the rigorous process of identifying, classifying and ranking outcome indicators before they are published on our platform. All users need to do is provide basic information about their program or project and they are then supported from start to finish in identifying the most suitable outcomes and indicators to measure in survey format.
Users can create their survey by:
- Having their survey automatically built using our suggested indicators based on a program’s outcomes (Smart Assistant).
- Aligning to best-practice using published sector frameworks or internal organisational frameworks to guide the creation of their survey (Use a Framework).
- Creating their survey from scratch by manually choosing indicators from our database (Manual)
The platform currently supports three survey distribution methods:
- Email distribution: Upload a contact list to the system or individually add contacts, and then select the survey you want the individuals to respond to on the platform. This sends out a unique email link to the respondent’s email address.
- Kiosk distribution: For use in a one-to-one, or front office setting where the respondent completes the survey on a device owned by the organisation. This is recommended for respondents who do not have a reliable device or appropriate and safe location to complete the survey themselves, or who benefit from assistance and support from your team while completing the survey.
- Offline mode: Looks exactly like kiosk mode, except the device you complete the survey from can go “offline” in a remote area or any location without Internet connectivity. This is a great benefit to organisations providing services in remote locations, and disaster response services.
