The Dolphin Research Institute is a for-purpose organisation, founded in 1991, working for the welfare of dolphins and whales in Victorian waters. We work with the community through education, behaviour-change and citizen science programs to help reduce risks from coastal pollution and other human impacts. Long-term research provides critical base-line data on the status and issues facing dolphins and whales in our waters. DRI actively develops future leaders and scientists through our award-winning i sea, i care School Ambassador Program, university internships and our post-graduate research fellowship programs.
