Aiming to close the digital divide in Australia as well as diverting reusable products from landfill, The Reconnect Project is a social enterprise that takes donated mobiles, laptops and chargers, refurbishes them and provides them to marginalised individuals such as victims fleeing domestic violence, refugees, and underprivileged school children (re)connecting them with family, friends and essential services. Through its volunteer program it also creates training and employment opportunities.
